Policies and procedures
- Library classes are on a six-day rotation with students having scheduled library class once every six school days.
- Students should always bring their agenda with them to the library.
- Open checkout time is 6:45-7:20 a.m.-children can visit the library without adult supervision during this time. Other open checkout times are scheduled and supervised by the homeroom teacher.
- Kindergarten students check out one book each time their class visits the library during the six-day rotation. They do not visit the library during open checkout times.
- Students reading books with pink (0.1-0.9) or green (1.0-1.9) stickers may only check out one book per library visit. Students reading red sticker books or above may check out two books per visit.
- In addition to the two Accelerated Reader books a student may choose to check out a book with a CD or a DVD/VHS.
- Any student that has lost a book will be required to settle the account before checking out another book from the library. Payment for damaged books must also be received before circulation rights are reinstated.
- Teachers may check out up to 25 items at a time, if more items are needed ask for assistance.
- Books checked out by teachers must be returned at the end of the year and must be paid for if lost.
- Books will be collected at the end of the school year. Any books not returned would be subject to replacement costs, which must be reconciled.
